Sony Entertainment Television is an Indian entertainment television channel that is Hindi based. It is owned by Sony Pictures Networks Indian Private Limited, which is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment and was launched in October 1995. Sony is famous for long running successful shows such as Kaun Banega Crorepati and C.I.D. The programming of Sony is usually targeted towards family audiences and the shows cover various genres such as reality, drama, thriller, comedy, Bollywood, Horror and live events. Sony currently broadcasts nine shows and has families glued to their television sets.
