Shekhar Ravjiani is a popular singer and composer in Bollywood. He is most popularly seen with his partner Vishal Dadlani and they are also fondly known as Vishal-Shekar. The two have worked together in a number of movies in Hindi, Telugu, Marathi and Tamil. The pair even composed the theme song for the third season of IPL.
Shekar first came to light with his outstanding performance in the Movie Jhankar Beats where he sang and composed the song ‘Tu Aashiqui Hai’. Shekar took home a Filmfare for this song.
Bio
Shekhar hails from Kutch in Gujarat where he was born and raised. He came from a family where music was appreciated and this is why his parents supported hi dream to become a singer. They encouraged him and sent him for musical training to Ustad Niaz Ahmed Khan. After his training, Shekhar came to Mumbai and participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Apart from singing and composing, Shekhar has also been seen as an actor in the movie ‘Neerja’. He will be seen coaching(judging) the contestants of ‘The Voice India Kids’ this year.
