Samsung Galaxy Note 7 - Leaked Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to shift focus to the USB-Type C port, with Google pushing for the same on all its Marshmallow devices. Shifting to this new port will mean that the old Gear VR headsets will be rendered useless as they come with a micro USB port. This has prompted the launch of a new Gear VR headset that will come with a USB-Type C connectivity and additional space to accommodate the size of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phablet.

With Samsung shifting focus and pushing for Virtual Reality, it is widely expected that the new headset will be sold along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 at a bundled discounted cost. The new phablet is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC and packed with 4GB RAM. It is also expected to feature three storage options – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, with the option to expand as well. The camera is expected to be a 12 MP primary camera and a 5 MP Selfie camera. All of this is expected to be backed by a 3600 mAh battery. While these might not be the final specifications of the device, it would be safe to assume that the configuration would be as powerful if not more.

The new phablet is expected to feature an iris scanner at the front. This would enable users to unlock the Smartphone by just looking at it. This feature was last seen in the Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phablet is expected to be available in Silver Titanium, Blue Coral and Black Onyx color variants. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be priced at approximately Rs. 63,000. While there are no certain indications of the specifications or the performance of this phablet, many have claimed to have spotted it on the Geekbench benchmark database. The benchmark test shows that the phablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor squashing rumors that it will feature Samsung’s own processor, Exynos 8893, or a Snapdragon 821 processor. The results also confirm that the phablet will feature a 4GB RAM as opposed to a 6GB RAM. While these were just test results, the final specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be revealed on the day of the launch.
