Nakshtra Bagwe is a right activist who is also well known actor and a brilliant film Maker. He was born in 11 December 1990, in Mumbai. In his young age, he has achieved popularity among different communities. Nakshtra has also made a remarkable effort for LGBT community, as an activist, not only this he was one among all the team members who organised Gujarat’s first march. He also took part in Baroda’s march which was for the first time for LGBT’s. LGBT stands for Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender).
Nakshtra is an Indian film actor who acted in films like Logging Out, Book of Love, Curtains, PR (Public Relations) and When the Circus Came to Town. In 2104, he left his debut film, “My Son is Gay”, due to some personal reasons.
He has amazing talent of film making, and won many awards. He has produced short film title like Acceptance.
He is known for his Films and contribution to LGBT community. He represented scenario of LGBT in “When the Circus came to Town”. Nakshtra believes in making films but on low budget with meaningful stories. He has worked as an actor, director, editor and script writer for the following films: Logging Out in 2012, Book of Love, Curtains, and Xmas Story also are in the year of 2012, in 2013 PR (Public Relations), in 2015 When the Circus Came to Town.
He also showed his performance only as an actor in some feature film, short films and music video’s etc. Like in 2014, Acceptance was his Short film which was released. Other released and post produced projects of Nakshtra in 2014 as well as 2015 are Anjana Mein Chala and Hearts simultaneously. His 2016 complete music video is Unkahi Unsuni Kahani and Love is feature film which is in the State of pre- production in 2016.
Nakshtra took education and became alumni from G.S. College, Kirti College, N.G. Acharya, and Birla College. Graduated from Mumbai University in mass media, there he selected his specialization in the field of advertising. Nakshtra’s post- graduation diploma is in the stream of advertising from EMDI Institute of Media & Communication, Mumbai.
He won KASHISH in Mumbai International Queer Film Festival in 2012. Screening of his Movie at Queens Museum Film Festival (New York)
In 2012, he was Part of Queer India European Tour for raising awareness about LGBT issues.
