Mazhar Khan (actor) Bio, Zeenat Aman Husband, Rubaina Mumtaz Ex-Husband

Mazhar was an Indian film and television actor. He was also a producer and a director.

Personal Life
Mazhar married popular actress Zeenat Aman way back in 1985. They had two sons Azaan and Zahaan. Mazhar acted in a few films with Zeenat back in the 1980s. Mazhar was ill with a kidney infection in the late 1990s. He later died due to this. In September 1998, he was declared dead on account of renal failure. Before his death, actress Zeenat Aman had filed for divorce. Before his marriage to Zeenat, he was married to Rubaina Mumtaz who was a Mumbai socialite. She was the niece of Dilip Kumar and a granddaughter of Fazal Nawaz Jung.

Mazhar’s sister Nilofer Amrohi is married to Tajdar Amrohi. Tajdar inherited the famous Kamalistan Studios along with his siblings from his father Kamal Amrohi.

Mazhar made his debut in the film Sampark that released in 1979. However, his big break came in 1980 when he acted in Shaan that was directed by the popular Ramesh Sippy. The popular song Naam Abdul Hai Mera was picturized on Mazhar. Mazhar acted in nearly 40 Hindi films where he portrayed mostly negative roles and supporting roles throughout the 1980s and into the early 1990s. He was also part of a science fiction film in Hollywood titled Terminal Entry that released in 1986. He played one of the main villains in this film.

Another role that he was much appreciated for was his performance in the TV serial Buniyaad that was launched way back in 1987. This serial once again united him with Ramesh Sippy.
