Manish Pandey is one of the emerging Indian batsmen who have made a point at both domestic and at international level. The talented Indian batsman was born in Nainital, Uttarakhand in 1989. After his schooling in Devlali, he moved to Bangalore and completed his education from Jain University. He is the son of an Indian Army Personnel and has a sister as well. Manish was good in education as well and his teachers remember as a good student.
Manish Pandey started his career and represented India in U19 World Cup in 2008 and he was part of the world cup winning team. He has played domestic cricket predominantly for Karnataka in both First Class and List A matches. However, big turn in his career came when he was picked up by the Mumbai Indians in IPL in 2008.
He became the first Indian player in IPL to score a century. He was later contracted by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and then he moved to Pune and now plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders. He played his first ODI and T20 against Zimbabwe in 2015. He scored his first century against Australia in Australia at the SCG. He was also the Man of the Match on that match.
