Career
Keerti made her debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms directed Kammal. She played the role of a woman in this show who had to face the hardships in life on a daily basis. It was an extremely challenging role, and she was also playing the lead even if she was only a debutant around the time. Director Hemant Prabhu was of the opinion that she was extremely calm even during her first day of shooting. Keerti had easily aced the screen tests, and there was no doubt in the minds of the director that this young lady had the necessary spark to play this character. With her natural talent, Keerti aced the role of a young woman who was brought up by three dancers in spite of the many hurdles that they faced in life.
After her debut, she was offered roles in shows like Hotel Kingston and Sindoor Tere Naam Ka. Most of her TV shows aired on Zee TV. Only Hotel Kingston aired on Star One. In Sindoor Tere Naam Ka, Keerti took her career to the next level. Jay Productions did not offer her the lead role, but they offered her the role of Niharika. In fact, she even met her husband Sharad Kelkar on the sets of this show. Sharad was playing the role of Rudra Raizada in the show. He had been part of the television industry for quite some time, but this was the first time he was working with Keerti.
