The Telugu movie “Baahubali” have won the 63rd national award in the best film category of Indian cinema. This movie is produced by Shobhu Yarlagadda as well as directed by S.S. Rajamouli. The other producers of the movie are Prasad Devineni and K Raghavendra Rao. The announcement for the national awards was done on Monday. One of the most creative film industries in the entire world is Telugu film industry.
India is the only country in the world that produces a maximum number of movies in a year. However, if you talk about the India only, then Telugu movies tops in this category in its nation. According to the available data, from April 2013 to March 2014, an aggregate of 1967 movies was released in India. From this total figure, 350 were only Telugu movies which top in the India’s region-wise category.
After winning the first ever national award in 63 years, the Telugu film industry has been excited with this honor. The producer of the movie “Baahubali” is also thrilled with this appreciation since the time award has been announced.
In an interview with the media person, the producers of the film said that “winning a national award is a big achievement for all of us and it makes them feel more special as it is the first movie to do this miracle”. This larger-than-life movie set in the background of mythological “Mahismathi” empire in India impressed the public not only in India but in abroad too.
The movie was made in a probable budget of around Rs. 120 crores; however it is believed the film reaped profits up to Rs 600 cr. Several celebrities of Bollywood and south industry have congratulated the whole team of Baahubali on social networking websites. All team members thank the jury of 63rd National Awards for recognition of their valuable efforts.
