Srijth, a passionate South Indian chef has spread the name of Indian spices throughout the world. He has magic in his hands which he has taken from his mother and grandmother. Srijith Gopinathan is a renowned chef who is working nowadays in Campton Place; a one star restaurant lies in San Francisco. It is in Union Square neighbourhood, famous for its Spicy Indian Cuisine. He believes that “A chef is only as the good ingredients”. He is the thorough believer of culinary skills which he had already developed in Indian cooking.
The South Indian Chef has started his sparkling journey of his career from the restaurants of India. In 2008, Srijith became Executive Chef to the Taj Campton Place hotel. Srijith also served as sous- Chef at the Taj Exotica Resorts. He has not only created new recipes but also created different name and style in cooking. He was famous for fusion of South Indian cuisine with European meals. His innovative thoughts bring him into the spotlight among the chefs. He has the experience of working in Spa in Maldives.
Being an Indian, he knows the basic art of shopping fresh vegetables from the market and he enjoys going new places. He is one of the greatest chefs who got the honour of Master Sommelier. Now, there are 150 active Master Sommeliers in the world and 68 Master Sommeliers in the United States.
Srijith and Richard Dean nowadays provide wine dinner in Campton. They have launched a program “The Wine with Richard Dean”, in which Guests meets an opportunity of tasting new discovered wines of the world. Guests can also meet guest vintners.
Srijith has also come as a Guest Chef in the Master Chef, who has given challenge to the participants of making his Signature dish.
He has done courses at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
He was honoured by the Title “Master Sommelier” and became the second person in the United States to receive such honour.
In 2010, he worked in Michelin Star, because of his unique style.
He is Gold award winner among Chefs.
