Ashok Selvan is a Tamil Film Actor and he started his acting career in the year 2013. His claim to fame is the movie Pizza 2: the Villa and Thegidi. He was born in Erode in the year 1989. When Ashok was three years old he moved to Chennai and did his schooling and college from Chennai. His alma mater is Loyola College, from where he did his Visual Communications course. During his college days, he participated in various short films competition where he directed few and acted in a few. After completing his college, Ashok gave audition for roles in Prakash Raj’s production Inidhu Inidhu and Bharat Bala’s but was rejected. While his struggling phase was on, he chose to assist director AR Murugadoss and he was given an opportunity to act in the movie 7aam Arivu for few scenes as Suriya’s friend but his scenes were edited in the final cut. He later appeared in Billa 2 directed by ChakriToleti’s, where Ashok’s childhood photo was used as a younger version of Ajith Kumar. He later auditioned for the role in Pizza and was rejected. Nalan Kumaraswamy offered him a role in Soodhu Kavvum, a black comedy after seeing him in a commercial. The movie had an ensemble cast and the movie was a hit and Ashok was appreciated for his role. Ashok later acted in Pizza 2, which was directed by Vaibhav Reddy. It was a psychological thriller and was the sequel to Pizza. He was also nominated for the best actor debut for his role. Ashok later acted in Thegidi, which was released in the year 2014. In the year 2015, he appeared in Orange Mittai, Savaale Smaali and 144. His upcoming movies for the year 2017 are SilaSamayangalil, kooyathilOruthan, which are under post-production. The other movie Santa Maria is currently on a floor and Pirai Thaediya Naatkal and Rangoli are under Pre-Production.
